Candy Buffet

Candy buffets in weddings are gaining popularity, and putting up one in your reception area is simple and inexpensive.

Arrange for your caterer to provide an extra table with skirting to be used as your candy buffet table. A small one would do, because it’s easier to make it look like it’s overflowing with candy!

Collect all the clear jars or receptacles in your home, or your mom’s home, or borrow from friends. Cleaned-up mason jars that were used as containers for mayonnaise or sandwich spreads will do. It doesn’t matter if they are of different shapes or sizes—-that’s actually better!

You can also buy candy jars if you wish. I highly recommend going to Uniwide Warehouses, you’ll have a field day with the very cheap jars and scoopers you can find there.

There are some who rent out candy jars for this purpose. These 13 jars and scoopers are for rent:

Your candy buffet table need not be decorated much, the candies themselves are, pardon the pun, eye-candy! You can either stick with your color motif, or or choose sweets of various colors:

I was in Divisoria a month ago and there sweets can be bought by the kilo, at really, really low prices. I bought some sugar-coated gummy worms and pastillas when I was there. You can also buy marshmallows, chocolate chip cookies, candy-coated chocolates and many others.

You can also order chocolates of various shapes at Sokoleyt Madness.

Don’t forget to provide bags where guests can put their candies in:

There are some who offer candy buffet set-ups for about 3000 pesos. A Candy Corner booth can be rented for 4500. But guess what, you can order a customized candy buffet for as low as 1500! Contact me:

I love this idea!! Your tables are beautiful!! Planning to have a candy buffet at my daughter’s #9 birthday in August. Been to several garage sales over the past couple months and found several jars that work. So excited to try this. Thanks again!!
